Comedo: A Participatory Data Visualization to Promote Responsible Eating in Collective Catering Area
The Comedo project aims to explore different ways of visualizing food choices and their ecological impact in collective catering areas. It focuses on identifying the factors that can make these visualizations clearer and more impactful, with the goal of helping users become better informed and make more informed decisions.

Our participatory physicalization where column width encodes the carbon impact of dietary choices, and tokens indicate the number of meals chosen for each option.
Four columns are displayed on the panel with pictograms placed over each for beef, pork, chicken and fish, and vegetarian. For the purpose of illustration, each column is filled with 20 tokens.
